Study Followership to Understand Leadership
Quantum Physics of Beliefs – Round Table Discussion for September 2013
In order to study great Leadership you have to study great “Followership.” Great leaders naturally attract great followers.
Wouldn’t it be better to focus more on “leading” and “following” as verbs rather than trying to label or categorize people in ways that can’t possibly factor in all the nuances of human life?
When you look at companies like JC Penney, Enron, and others that have seen, or will soon see, their undoing because the leadership lacks the qualities Patton and other real leaders possessed, you fully realize that the traits of a good follower, as Jack Welch saw, are what make a truly great leader.
