Not Letting Go of Control… Ego or EQ?

Are you a control freak? You think, “My team is just not capable of this. They need more experience first.”
Are you convinced that no one else can do the job as well as you? Do you think you alone can get the best result? If so, consider the possibility that your ego-based beliefs are causing you to micromanage rather than any real incompetence on the part of your team.
Leaders have a very hard time trusting that their teams will be fiscally responsible. After delegating assignments, they meddle and micromanage. They fail to let go of control.
However, it is not by managing every decision or putting a personal seal on each and every company initiative that you as a leader avoid scandal and keep the company financially upright; instead, it is by staying informed.
