Leadership 101: Styles and Traits.

In business, there appear to be as many ways to lead organizations as there are leaders. In life, it’s the surest way to fail when you are not able to apply the most relevant approach from a  strong skill set of leadership styles that can be dynamically modified to fit different situations involving your relationships, both personal and professional.

Leadership style refers to a leader’s behavior and attitude. It is the result of the philosophy, personality and experience of the leader.

There are many different leadership styles, of which Authoritarian, Paternalistic, Democratic, Laissez-faire, Coaching, and Visionary are the most prominent that can be exhibited by leaders in the political, business or other walks of life.

Why are some leaders successful, while others fail? That’s a $$$M$$$ question! The truth is that there is no magic combination of characteristics that makes a leader successful, and different characteristics matter in different circumstances.
